Capacitive Reactance Calculator
An ideal capacitor opposes alternating current with a reactance that falls as frequency rises. Its impedance is purely imaginary and negative: the current leads the voltage by 90°. At DC it blocks current entirely.

Carries C and f; the Lab asks for R and L.
Technical reference
XC = 1/(ω·C) = 1/(2π·f·C)
Z_C = −j·XC, φ = −90°
f = 0: open circuit (Y = 0)

Reference: C = 100 µF, f = 50 Hz → XC ≈ 31.831 Ω.
Ideal capacitor: no leakage or series resistance.
