Thermodynamic Cycles Lab
One ideal cycle — Carnot, Otto, Diesel, Brayton or a Carnot refrigerator / heat pump. Set the parameters, and read the efficiency or COP, the state diagram, the energy terms and a parameter comparison from the same solution.
Cycle
Ideal cycle limits: reversible Carnot models between two reservoirs, and ideal air-standard Otto, Diesel and Brayton cycles with constant specific heats. Real machines fall below these values.
Thermal efficiency η
56.47 %
Ideal air-standard limit with constant specific heats.
